Regret

I shall never forget The things I regret

Learn from every mistake But another I shall make

A lonely soul burns A given heart never returns

I have done my share But you are not fair

Everything is strange Some things never change

You went astray Perhaps I scared you away

See the sadness in my eyes Induced by your lies H

ear the fear in my voice I am not alone by choice

Reach into my soul Feel the bottomless hole

My now empty heart Was yours from the start

You raped me mentally And put your spell on me

All is lost No monetary cost

I paid for your devotion With my own delicate emotions

I tried to hide But you found me inside

You left much to be desired After you set my soul on fire

I cannot erase the past Time passes so fast

My conscience will not let me forget All of those things that I regret
